Cookie and Local Storage Policy
GradeCompute uses necessary browser storage for privacy choices, optional saved scenarios and display preferences, plus a same-origin offline cache. Optional analytics and advertising storage is off until permitted and enabled.
Necessary and requested local storage
The privacy-choice record prevents the banner from appearing on every page. Local calculator preferences can remember an edited scale, displayed decimal places, and the round-before-letter setting. When you explicitly save a scenario, My Workspace stores its anonymous label, numeric inputs, settings, summary, calculator route, and save time in this browser. The workspace is capped at 30 scenarios and does not use a GradeCompute account or cloud database.
Cache Storage and offline use
The GradeCompute service worker caches the calculator application shell and same-origin assets after a complete online visit. This supports offline reopening; it does not cache third-party analytics or advertising requests. Browser Cache Storage is not a cookie, but it is site data and can be removed through the same browser controls.
Optional categories
Analytics storage may measure page and calculator actions without grade values. Advertising storage may support frequency, measurement, or personalization according to the selected choice and applicable law. Neither category is active merely because this policy describes it.
Manage or remove storage
Use Manage privacy choices in the footer to change optional categories. Use calculator settings to reset saved preferences, manage individual scenarios in My Workspace, or clear every saved scenario there. Clear GradeCompute site data in the browser to remove local storage, the service worker, and offline caches together.
